Contemporary Artists Nicole Coson and Kristian Kragelund welcomed a creative and international crowd to their East London wedding weekend. This wedding featured contemporary fashion designers who are creating work at the vanguard of modern design alongside a vintage piece by Galliano for Dior.

The whole wedding weekend was planned and designed by Liz Linkleter Events. Kicking off their wedding weekend with a relaxed welcome event at Brat x Climpson’s Arch in the heart of London Fields, Artists Nicole and Kristian welcomed friends from around the globe with bespoke cocktails, and seasonal food cooked over wood fired ovens in the open plan space. Floral design by Yinari incorporated sculptural mushrooms and each guest was sent home with a custom hangover pack in their signature wedding colour of red.

Nicole’s welcome outfit featured a dress designed by Carl Jan Cruz.

Bridal beauty

We spent just a few moments prior to the ceremony capturing some film stills of Nicole. Her ceremony look featured a bespoke design in raw natural materials by Filipino fashion designer Carl Jan Cruz. Nicole paired this with Prada shoes and her late Father’s watch. A vintage piece by John Galliano for Dior was sourced for Nicole to wear at the reception later that day. The groom, Kristian, opted for a classic Prada suit.

Nicole’s bouquet was designed by Yinari and featured snake's-head fritillary and black velvet pansy.

The Bouquet

The ceremony was held at The Town Hall Hotel, Bethnal Green.

The ceremony

Post ceremony, guests headed on a traditional London red bus to St. John, Restaurant in Smithfield a Michelin-starred restaurant housed in an previous smoke house on the edge of the city of London which specialises in nose to tail dining. During the reception Nicole made an outfit change into a vintage John Galliano for Christian Dior dress, and returned for cocktails in this fresh look which she paired with Bottega Veneta sunglasses and Jil Sander shoes.

Tables were set with single stemmed red flowers, leaving space for the sharing plates of food created by St. John. Guests enjoyed bone marrow, turbot, seasonal vegetables and pavlova, rounded off with a cherry flavoured wedding cake.

The dinner space

Nicole changed into a bespoke Sinead O’Dwyer dress in close friend Freddie Powell’s gallery Ginny on Frederick – right around the corner from St. John. With custom boots by Tabitha Ringwood for her final look and a custom garter with the couple’s initials on. Guests sang along as Nicky Harris performed specially chosen songs on the piano followed by DJ sets, also from the couple’s friends Michael Ho and Jack O’Brien.
